Call for papers: Swiss IPS seminar series

In our capacity of convenors of the SPSA IPS section, we would like to announce that we are currently working towards establishing a Swiss IPS seminar series.

The primary target group for the seminar series would be PhD candidates who wish to discuss their work with the Swiss community. More senior scholars would, however, of course be more than welcome to share their work as well.

The details have not yet been set in stone, but the general idea would be to facilitate 3-4 meetings per year, each dedicated to in-depth engagement with 1-2 papers, including a discussant for each paper. For this, papers would be circulated among participants in advance. As of now, we would imagine seminar sessions to take place via video conference, but with the option to go to physical meetings as soon as the pandemic situation allows. Best case scenario, the first seminar session would take place in fall (October/November), with further sessions in mid/late March and late May/early June.

At this point in time, we would like to ask for expressions of interest from the IPS community. In case you would like to present and discuss your work at the Swiss IPS seminar series, please indicate a tentative title and your preferred timeframe by 1 September at the latest to lucile.maertens@unil.ch and matthias.leese@sipo.gess.ethz.ch.

We are very much looking forward to hearing from you.
