Applications open for the 11th edition of the IPS Winter School

The 11th edition of the IPS Winter School will run from 29 June to 10 July 2026 at PUC-Rio’s campus in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Over two weeks, the programme offers a range of activities centred on the research agenda of International Political Sociology.

Deadline: May 15 2026.

Activities include courses, workshops, roundtables, tutoring sessions, and informal discussions that cover both conceptual and substantive content, as well as the development of skills relevant to the academic profession. This year, the Winter School features a guest faculty composed of both international and Brazilian scholars. It is open to graduate students and early-career academics.

This year, we have the pleasure of welcoming: Angharad Closs-Stephens (Swansea University); Claudia Aradau (King’s College London);  Jef Huysmans (Queen Mary University of London); João Nogueira (PUC-Rio); Kyle Grayson (Newcastle University);  Lara Selis (Universidade Federal de Uberlândia); Victor Lage (Universidade Federal da Bahia).
