  • Franca Kappes (PhD candidate, Geneva Graduate Institute); research interests: disaster migration and governance,  hypermobility, and non-residency in an era of climate displacement and managed retreat, ‘Kinopolitics’, ‘Nomadology’ and the primacy of motion in the study of International Relations, development of methods for the study of dynamic, and complex, multi-level phenomena

  • Victoria Motta de Lamare França (PhD candidate, Geneva Graduate Institute); research interests: Security Sector Reform (SSR), translation and interpretation in International Relations, UN peace operations, military and/or humanitarian interventions, protection, expertise, Whiteness, and post-colonial and decolonial thought.

  • Carolina Miranda Futuro (PhD candidate, University of Geneva); research interests: Forced displacement ( in particular internal displacement, human trafficking, and deportation), humanitarianism, international organizations, visuality and visual methods. 

  • Fabian Hofmann (PhD candidate, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology/ETH); research interests: smart cities and urban surveillance, the politics of urban policy experimentation, prototyping, and failure, critical approaches to peace and security, memory politics in post-conflict societies, political ethnographic methods.
