Séminaire “Sociologie politique de l’international”

The platform “Sociologie politique de l’international” is a socialization and collaboration space for researchers invested in international political sociology within the French academic field. Besides various activities at national and international scientific events and platforms, our work develops especially around the seminar series which started in October 2019. Building on a network consolidated with various instruments including an active mailing list, the seminars bring together scholars and young researchers studying trans/international subjects through a relational and historically situated approach to the international order based on empirical investigations (observations, interviews, archives, ethnographic surveys). By promoting transversal, transdisciplinary and international exchanges the project also aims to contribute to the decompartmentalization of academic spaces that consider the international aspect from a unitary social science perspective and that pay attention to the power relations in the "global" production of the social science.
